Product Description
Rattle Can Ruffy - This is my own Hot Rod. a 1928 Model A bucket [cut down tourer], it has been a 25 year build and some of my earlier body work could have been better but being young and impatient at the time meant it could have been planned better so I could flipper up the tub panels properly. Either way its a warts and all sort of car, it is as raw as it gets, I get very little time to work on my own stuff now so a rework of the tub was out of the question, so I just rattle canned it and put on the road. No filler, no undercoat, just industrial zinc rich one step sooty black paint. Its so much fun drive and I am not that precious about it.
The pics showcase the metal work gone into it as an example of how to get a rough car looking pretty good without going to extremes.
Original panels are the cowl top, cowl sides, doors, qtr panels.
Hand formed panels: floor and floor frame, rear of body, engine firewall, roaster ute panels, dashboard, internal door skins and all the internal panel work. And of course the rust repairs on the lower doors, cowl etc.
All metal work shape is finished using the splines technique. This ensures a good shape and flow to the metal work and means anyone using the splines technique to fill, sand and paint the car will have minimal product needed on the body and less sanding time required on it getting it ready for top coat.
This is not a product - It is an example of our fabrication skills.
Price is indicative per guard, it is a lot of work. All work is done at an hourly rate, plus parts, plus materials.
