Naturally aspirated LPG engines need a camshaft that has really strong vacuum to make your gas converter work effectively. A typical performance camshaft has lower vacuum at idle which can make your LP Gas mixer not deliver the right amount of air fuel ratio to the engine, this typically results in your engine to behave badly in cold weather and idle really poorly and just cause you constant grief.
Therefore we have selected a range of cams here to pep up your engine and make it more torquey but not loose any driveablity when running on gas. Another thing to note with LPG is becasue of its higher octane rating is harder to ignite therefore you can run high compression ratios upto about 11:1 and you can run more static advance tyically 12 to 14 deg. This allows you to produce really good power and typically a well tuned engine like this will make more power than a similar spec petrol engine.
These LPG cams work well in heavy tow vehicles running on gas.
